I've been part of Woodlands for around 30 years and am now really excited to be part of Woodlands Southside.
I work as a mental health nurse.
I love seeing people's lives change for the better through prayer & community both of which are priorities at Southside.

VOCATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRACK

Hi, I’m Jo.

I’m married to Paul and we have 2 teenage children. I work as a primary English tutor and I love reading, baking, Pilates and boardgames. 

I’m passionate about pastoral care within our church family and reaching out practically to the local community. I’m also part of the prayer team and host some of the services.

I’m excited to be a part of Woodlands Southside and to see lives changed by the love and power of Jesus. 

Jo is on the Woodlands Church Family Vocational leadership track., and leads our Community Cafe.

KIDS AND YOUTH LEAD

Hi, I'm Paul.

I’m a coastal engineer and I enjoy surfing, DIY, tennis and video gaming. 

I head up Children and Youth ministry at Southside. At Southside we aim to provide a place for children where they can enjoy themselves, develop their faith and grow friendships together.

In Adventurers, our 4-10 year old groups, we enjoy a time of active free play and games, share a Bible story or theme together, and then reflect on this with prayer, discussion or creative fun when things can get messy!

In Devo Southside, our 11-16 groups, we have a similar format, but with a focus on diving deeper into the Bible and discussing issues that are relevant to young people.

I have been part of the Woodlands group of churches for almost 40 years.

I'm married to Tracy and we have 3 children. I manage a local HIV charity.

I want Woodlands Southside to be a welcoming place where everyone feels included, valued and able to serve

I’m the token “oldie” on the Team. I regard myself as “proper Bristolian” having come here to train in Medicine in 1979 and I never left!  
We bought our first house in Knowle in 1980 and have lived here ever since. My husband and I led a small church here in the 1980s but have been part of WCF since before we planted Woodlands Central.
I am a member of the Board of Trustees for WCF and I am excited about the potential of the Southside Community to be salt and light in this South Bristol Community to bring the transforming love of Jesus to the streets where we live.
I am blessed with four wonderful children who all grew up here and four delightful grandchildren. I love cycling, walking swimming and kayaking as much as the aging joints accommodate as well as travelling and reading which need less contribution from the joints!

Hi I’m Paul.

I’m married to Fiona and we have 2 older teenage children/young adults. I work as a teacher supporting autistic children and young people.

I’m passionate about welcoming, hospitality and pastoral care.

I’m part of the Welcome Team at Southside and lead a homegroup alongside Fiona.

I also help out with hosting and preaching at church from time to time.

I’m Fiona, married to Paul as you will have already seen!

I am a GCSE maths and science tutor.

I love prayer and talking to people about Jesus. I help out in various ways at Southside and look forward to saying ‘hi’ if you visit us!
